Distribution Associate PM

Responsibilities

• Unload case goods, bedding, and/or upholstered furniture using a two-wheel hand cart and second-person assistance when needed.
• Stage and load/unload products for shipping or storage in the warehouse.
• Palletize product and box product when necessary.
• Operate mobile lift equipment to bin product and place incoming product into warehouse racks.
• Retrieve product from aisle racks based on assigned load sheet after cleared by scanner, and load trailer.
• Pick up breakage, miscellaneous wood, plastic, and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Check for damaged product and do not load any damaged product for shipment to customer.
• Interact and respond professionally to co-workers' requests.
• Meet established product rates and accuracy standards.
• Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.

Requirements

• Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Work well with others and function in a team environment.
• Safely operate all required equipment.
• Excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to move extremities and the spine through a functional range of motion allowing safe maneuvering of product from floor to overhead while material handling.
• The ability to work in awkward postures is occasionally required when performing all aspects of the job.
• Must have sufficient strength in the trunk and extremities to perform tasks in multiple positions from the floor to overhead while material handling.
• Reaching: Associate must be able to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction while material handling.
• Handling: Associate must be able to seize, hold, and grasp items typical of this job throughout the work period.
• Fingering: Associate must be able to pinch and work primarily with the fingers throughout the workday.
• Must demonstrate sufficient capacity to lift, carry, and push-pull.
• Must possess excellent balance to maintain equilibrium in all positions.
• Meets the minimal physical demands consistent with a classification of Very-HEAVY as set forth by the United States Department of Labor.

Work Environment

• Exposure to slip and trip hazards such as pallets on the floor and wet weather.
• Work in cold/hot temperatures on the loading dock and in the yard.
• Warehouse temperature is mechanically heated, not cooled.
• Required to work in and out of unheated trailers, exposing the worker to cold.

PPE Required: Steel toe shoes and fall protection harness.
