Distribution Associate - Monday through Friday-6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Position: Distribution Associate
Location: Four Oaks, NC
Duration: 12 Months
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.)
Total Hours/week: 40.00

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders including scanning bar codes, picking cases, and labeling boxes.
• Palletize orders including scanning, retrieving, and placing completed orders on pallets.
• Process orders using RF technology.
• Verify order accuracy and prepare shipments for packaging.
• Perform dock manifest duties, including scanning completed pallets and operating shrink wrapper.
• Operate the ground/manual manifest station as required.
• Assist with other warehouse positions and provide backup during absences or vacations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience, preferred.
• Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE), preferred.
• Previous work experience operating a pallet jack, required.

Skills

• Ability to obtain an electric pallet jack certification.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
• Required to operate MHE and use an RF scanner.
• Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• General distribution knowledge.

• Regularly exposed to walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting.
• Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel, pick or type, including repetitive motion of the wrists, hands or fingers.
• Occasionally required to climb.
• May require lifting over 50 lbs in some areas.
• Must have normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye and sufficient hearing to safely operate MHE in a manufacturing/distribution environment.

Work Environment

• Moderate to loud noise level.
• Exposure to moving mechanical equipment, precarious situations, and potential temperature variations.
• Occasional exposure to fumes/airborne particles.

Pay

$17.00 per hour
