Distribution Warehouse Associate - Monday through Friday. 6 AM to 2 PM

Job Description

The Distribution Associate is responsible for providing value to our customer by accurately receiving, storing, and picking product to meet safety, security, and productivity standards.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Shipping/Receiving - Safe, accurate warehousing and re-warehousing of product, processing and order picking, preparing pallets for shipment, loading/unloading trailers, ensuring accuracy and product condition.
• Quality - Performing work at a high quality level, checking for accuracy and damage, participating in Lean program.
• Re-Warehousing - Identifying pallet ID tags, documenting information, writing, matching numbers, identifying correct location codes.
• Order Picking - Accurately picking product, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Physical Inventories - Participating in physical inventories as needed.
• Equipment - Operating material handling equipment safely, reporting damage, keeping equipment neat and orderly.
• Reporting/Measurements - Ensuring records are prepared and maintained, reviewing operating goals and standards.
• Safety/Sanitation/Housekeeping - Following Lean manufacturing processes, maintaining a clean and professional image, recognizing customer commitment to quality.
• Cross Training - Becoming knowledgeable with other positions, assisting as required, acting as backup.
• Miscellaneous / Other - Full participation in daily stretching program, performing other duties as required.

• Hazmat Training - May receive general awareness, function-specific, security awareness, and safety training.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or 1 year experience required
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills
• General distribution knowledge

Physical Demands

• Regularly exposed to walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting, frequent use of hands for typing which can include repetitive motion of wrists, hands, or fingers.
• Normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye and sufficient hearing to safely operate material handling equipment in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
• Pre-employment physical exam required.
