Disposition Technician

Responsibilities
- Unpack and process returned IT equipment according to project specifications
- Clean, restore, and prepare devices for redeployment when applicable
- Prepare equipment for recycling, disposal, shipment, or inventory storage
- Accurately box, label, and package equipment for shipment
- Complete inventory checklists and verify asset information
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate inventory records
- Track returned equipment and update disposition status within company systems
- Assist with reporting, project documentation, and inventory management
- Maintain organization and cleanliness within the disposition center
- Work closely with project management, warehouse, and configuration teams to support project goals
- Assist other technical teams during periods of lower disposition volume
- Communicate updates and project status with internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months to 2 years of hands-on IT, technical support, inventory, warehouse, or related experience
- Basic PC troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Associate degree, technical certification, or related coursework
- Experience with inventory management or asset tracking
- Familiarity with ERP software systems
- Experience with IT deployment, hardware installations, networking, or technology projects
- Industry certifications are a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the workday
- Comfortable handling PCs, monitors, servers, peripherals, and networking equipment
