Position Summary
The primary function of the Warehouse Lead is to oversee distribution processes, assist customers and suppliers, manage and supervise employees, and ensure that safety regulations are met.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists and leads assigned activities associated with warehouse operations.
- Responsible for managing the process of receiving, stocking, and quality control of all merchandise.
- Oversee and coordinate maintenance of equipment.
- Maintains health and safety compliance in accordance with company policy.
- Organizes, plans, coordinates, facilitates, and manages all aspects of physical inventory and storage area.
- Assists with determining staffing levels and assigning workload; includes training of warehouse staff.
- Maintains inventory controls through minimizing materials damage and ensuring order accuracy.
- Affords assistance with customer will call orders.
- Trains new stockers on how to perform job safely and correctly.
- Ensures the timely, accurate, and efficient delivery of materials and communicates with customers to maximize service levels.
- Safeguards all equipment to ensure cleanliness, operability, safety, and DOT compliance.
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction industry and building materials.
- 1-3 years of experience or more is preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Frequently moves about inside the office and warehouse.
- Must be able to lift heavy building materials up to 50 lbs. for loading/unloading.
- Must be able to operate basic office machinery.
- Must be able to communicate with team and management and exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Constantly in a warehouse environment.
