This position plays a critical role in coordinating operations across multiple departments, including the Bury, Install, and Enterprise teams. Dispatchers ensure that job assignments are efficiently scheduled, monitored, and completed on time while acting as the primary point of contact for clients, technicians, and internal teams. The role offers opportunities for growth in logistics coordination, operational management, and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate departmental operations as the key liaison between the Bury, Install, and Enterprise teams, ensuring efficient scheduling, tracking, and completion of tasks.
  • Monitor work opportunities by tracking project timelines and identifying additional work to maximize efficiency for installation technicians.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients to ensure expectations are met, provide updates, and address concerns promptly.
  • Manage scheduling and logistics by dispatching enterprise personnel to job sites, monitoring work progress, and ensuring timely completion of assignments.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of work assignments, communications, and project updates for future reference.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth workflow and department operations.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support evolving operational and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading formal onboarding classes or operational training initiatives.
  • Previous experience in customer service, call center, administrative support, scheduling, logistics, or dispatch-related environments.
  • Experience in telecommunications, construction, utility, transportation, or service industries.
  • Familiarity with GPS tracking systems, dispatch software, workforce management systems, or scheduling platforms.
  • Experience coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
  • Experience communicating with field personnel, customers, vendors, or subcontractors.
  • Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish).
  • Experience with data entry, reporting, and maintaining accurate operational records.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in rapidly changing situations.

Physical & Environmental Conditions

The Dispatcher position primarily operates in a professional office environment, serving as a central communication hub between field personnel, customers, and leadership teams. This role requires frequent interaction with technicians, supervisors, project managers, clients, and internal departments through telephone, email, messaging platforms, and operational software systems.

  • Work schedules may require flexibility, including extended hours, scheduling adjustments, weekend coverage, and overtime based on business and operational needs.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while monitoring work queues, coordinating schedules, and managing daily operational activities.
  • Frequent use of computers, telephones, headsets, dual-monitor systems, and other standard office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with field personnel, customers, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Ability to accurately read, analyze, and enter data into dispatch, scheduling, and reporting systems while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting or carrying office supplies or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt to changing operational demands.
  • Perform repetitive hand and finger movements associated with keyboarding and data entry.
  • High degree of adaptability and flexibility to adjust to evolving priorities, technician schedules, customer demands, weather conditions, and emergency service requests.
  • Maintain a professional presence in all interactions with employees, customers, clients, vendors, and business partners.
