Dispatcher Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Cook up and dispatch drivers for deliveries and pickups in a timely and efficient manner
• Manage and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely service while minimizing costs
• Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and driver schedules
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth communication and operations
• Aid in the training and onboarding of new dispatch personnel as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a related logistics role
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
• Familiarity with dispatching software and GPS systems
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent educational background; additional training in logistics or transportation is a plus
