About the role

Assist the Plant Manager in managing the activities of the location’s Truck Drivers. Schedule and dispatch drivers to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using radios or telephones. Arrange for necessary vehicle repairs to restore service and schedules. Receive and relay work orders, messages, and information to and from drivers and supervisors. Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, and requests for service. Prepare daily driver work and run schedules. Oversee all communications within specifically assigned territories. Record and maintain driver files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate accurately and clearly both orally and in writing
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications
• Superior organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
• Repetitively lift 50-75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts
• Ability to work in extreme conditions including heat, cold, and air particulate
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as eye protection, ear protection, and safety shoes
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, and color vision

Pay

USD $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule

1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
