About the Role
The Dispatcher supports all branch Service Department personnel through detailed handling of administrative duties, including managing communications, work orders, and technician assignments.
Responsibilities
- Handle incoming phone calls to the branch
- Produce quotations and estimates
- Take and deliver messages to branch personnel
- Effectively communicate with Service Department personnel to address customer needs
- Assign jobs to Shop Technicians
- Dispatch Field Service Technicians
- Open and properly segment work orders, applying correct codes and tax information
- Handle closing of work orders in a timely fashion
- Adjust service technician time when necessary
- Obtain Purchase Orders from customers as required
- Responsible for charging time to work orders
- Fill in for supervisor when needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior clerical or administrative experience is desired
- Experience and demonstrated skill using personal computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and basic typing skills

Working Conditions
Work is normally performed in a Service Department shop office environment. Some work must be performed in the shop environment with limited exposure to physical risk. No or very limited physical effort is required for this position.
