About the role
The Truck Dispatcher role is pivotal in coordinating and facilitating our fast-paced asphalt hauling operations. You will coordinate the daily scheduling, routing, and dispatching of a mixed fleet consisting of company-owned trucks and independent third-party owner-operators (sub-haulers).
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of daily truck logs.
- Monitor the dispatching of company trucks, ensuring timely and optimized deployment.
- Process and accurately code time sheets for financial tracking.
- Collaborate with the truck foreman to provide support.
- Cookordinate with the current dispatcher to share the daily dispatch workload and ensure seamless coverage.
- Facilitate the relay of work orders, messages, and pertinent information between supervisors and drivers.
- Engage with supervisory personnel to address inquiries, challenges, and service or inventory requests.
- Develop and distribute daily work schedules.
- Promptly notify department leads of potential safety or equipment concerns.
- Adhere to established processes and procedures, ensuring precision and compliance.
- Wear appropriate attire, footwear, and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Fulfill any other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications
- A minimum of one to two years of experience as a dispatcher, demonstrating a solid understanding of the operational intricacies involved.
- A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- A minimum of 1 year of dispatching experience (preferred).
- A valid Driver's License (preferred).
