Dispatcher
About the role
A Dispatcher at White Cap plans delivery schedules and optimizes delivery vehicle routes. They address delivery issues with customers and provide resolution. They ensure invoices and loads are correct before departure, record all in and out times of vehicles, maintain vehicle maintenance and repair records, and record vehicle availability status. They perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Plans delivery schedules and optimizes delivery vehicle routes.
- Addresse delivery issues with customers and provides resolution.
- Ensures invoices and loads are correct before departure.
- Records all in and out times of vehicles.
- Maintains vehicle maintenance and repair records.
- Records vehicle availability status.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Generally has 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of the geographic area.
- Experience using Descartes.
- Spanish language proficiency preferred.
