Dispatcher

Responsibilities

• Schedule drivers’ routes and ensure on-time, accurate deliveries.
• Use the dispatch program to track orders from other stores and set up/distribute runs to drivers.
• Ensure drivers count money collected and put delivery times on bills.
• Work with Parts Pullers to ensure deliveries go out correctly.
• Work with drivers to make sure they know the correct route.
• Communicate with customers over the phone to update them on order statuses.
• Assist drivers with any issues related to routes or job responsibilities.

• Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal.
• Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements.
• Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment.
• Show attention to detail.
• Have great communication skills.
• Be able to manage time effectively.
• Be able to work under pressure.
• Work well with other staff members and supervisors.
• Have an open availability, flexible schedule, and ability to work various shifts and overtime.
• One to two years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Hold a current, valid driver’s license.
• Meet company insurance requirements (must be 21 years old or over).
• Be familiar with safety measures in a warehouse.
• Maintain and promote workplace safety.
• Securing and transferring cash or other assets may be required.
