Dispatcher

What You'll Do

• Cook up and dispatch drivers according to customer orders, delivery schedules, and operational priorities
• Make sure deliveries are done safely, quickly, and on time
• Watch out for any problems with your routes and fix them right away
• Answer lots of phone calls and type stuff into computers
• Find out what's important and use what you have to do your best work
• Give drivers and team members the latest news about their schedules and work
• Help with other dispatch and logistics jobs as needed

What We're Looking For

• Experience with dispatch, logistics, transportation, customer service, or a similar field
• A basic understanding of transportation operations, especially fuel transportation
• Good at organizing things and doing lots of different tasks at once
• Great at talking and writing, and good with numbers
• Very careful and good at solving problems
• Can work well in a busy, team-based environment
• Have a positive attitude and treat others nicely
• Can work different hours, including nights, weekends, and extra time when needed
• Live close enough to work

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with fuel transportation dispatch
• Experience using dispatch software, especially SmartLogix
• Knowledge of transportation documentation, industry terms, and DOT regulations
