Dispatcher

About the role

The Dispatcher position at PARR is responsible for efficiently scheduling deliveries and credit returns, supporting the company's mission of Legendary Service through Teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with sales about delivery needs
• Provide delivery invoices to yard personnel
• Assist drivers with route challenges
• Coordinate between sales and yard personnel
• Schedule backorders
• Conduct regular ride-alongs and job shadowing
• Seek out tasks and training opportunities
• Review productivity reports and identify areas for improvement
• Complete Blue-Volt training
• Manage yard cleanliness and team accountability
• Ensure timely pickup of credit returns
• Manage Outlook and personal notebook
• Communicate permit needs to customers
• Keep paperwork and licenses updated
• Improve truck turn time
• Manage interyard transfers
• Prepare and submit fuel and mileage reports
• Aid in management team efforts to reduce turnover
• Assist Fleet Manager and Driver Trainer
• Enter Falcon orders as needed
• Perform daily equipment inspections
• Maintain a safe and comfortable work environment
• Bring safety issues to attention of proper departments
• Follow company safety protocols
• Work extended hours as needed
• Support other yards as needed

Qualifications

• English language proficiency
• OSHA Certified Forklift License
• One year dispatching experience
• Ability to type 30+ WPM
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of dispatching and fleet management
• Understanding of home and commercial construction principles
• Ability to read and interpret maps

Pay and Schedule

Pay range: $22.10 - $26.35 per hour

Schedule

This position works in an office with a computer in a lumberyard/warehouse environment. Both local and overnight travel may be required.
