Dispatcher

About the role

Ohio CAT is looking for an organized and customer-focused Dispatcher to support our service operations team. Working closely with customers, technicians, and parts personnel, you'll coordinate repair activities, manage parts orders, and ensure clear communication throughout the service process. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, solving challenges, and contributing to a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment service operations with a strong focus on parts sourcing and ordering
• Manage work approvals, track parts availability, and provide timely service updates
• Ensure the right parts are available when needed to minimize equipment downtime
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience through clear communication and coordination

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1–3 years of customer service, administrative, dispatching, or office support experience preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and team members
• Willingness to learn and grow in a service-focused environment
• Experience in equipment, service, construction, manufacturing, or a related industry is a plus, but not required

Skills

• Strong work ethic with solid organizational and general office skills
• Comfortable using computers and proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and follow-through
