Dispatcher

MV Transportation is seeking a Dispatcher to direct day-to-day route operations and report to the Dispatch Supervisors. This work is done in compliance with client-defined procedures and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily communication and interaction with drivers and clients.
• Organize and conduct activities to ensure safe, cost-effective, on-time operating performance.
• Track and report driver sign-in/sign-out times, route timeliness, and service issues to Dispatch Supervisors or Dispatch Managers.
• Take client calls and relay issues to drivers and supervisors as appropriate.
• Monitor radio, telephones, and on-road service for quality assurance.
• Influence positive employee morale and quality customer service.
• Complete driver sign-in and sign-out daily.
• Assign trips to drivers to ensure equitable distribution across routes.
• Monitor daily system performance and participate in performance analysis and reviews.
• Note and communicate route closures or late starts to supervisors.
• Perform all other assigned duties.

Requirements

• One (1) year of Dispatcher experience preferred.
• Two (2) years of Customer Service experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Trapeze software.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• High commitment to customer service.
• Professional phone manner.
• Knowledge of the service area is a plus.

Pay

$32/hour (starting pay).
