Key Responsibilities

• Schedule service and satisfy customer needs for service changes.
• Ensure service is completed according to established policies.
• Dispatch calls to routes based on designated routes and driver locations.
• Perform driver check-ins at the end of the day to ensure accurate paperwork completion.
• Distribute, collect, and review route sheets for proper end-of-day data entry.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve service issues.
• Interact with customers, customer service department, sales, and operations staff.
• Work with routing specialists to optimize routes.
• Field incoming calls and emails from customers.
• Resolve potential delivery and pickup problems before they become service issues.
• Afford daily driver staffing levels to balance responsiveness and productivity.
• Record and distribute information from drivers to relevant departments.
• Communicate with maintenance shop personnel.

Requirements

• Completion of high school.
• Post-secondary courses or diploma may be considered an asset.
• 1-2 years of experience in transportation, dispatch, or customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Knowledge of the industry is advantageous.
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in software applications and word processing.
• Ability to work extended hours, including occasional weekends.
• Possess TRUX experience, though not mandatory; must have the desire and ability to learn the TRUX system if not currently possessed.
• Additional or specialized training in transportation, logistics, or similar areas; customer service experience in a call center environment.
