About the role

Since 1934, G&H Towing has provided harbor ship escorts, docking, and undocking services in the ports of Galveston, Houston, Texas City, Corpus Christi, and Freeport, Texas, on behalf of tanker, bulk, and container customers. Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with vessels, pilots, towing companies, agents, customers, and shoreside personnel.
• Receive orders from the harbor master, agents, and other representatives requiring harbor tug services in the Port of Corpus Christi (POCC).
• Work a rotational schedule of 12-hour shifts (two days on, two days off, three days on, two days off, two days on, and three days off, and every other weekend).
• The day shift is 0700 – 1900, and the night shift is 1900 – 0700.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience in maritime operations or related field preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.

Pay

• $X per hour, depending on experience.
