Dispatcher

Primary Responsibilities

• Cook up scheduling of transportation between Elevate operations and specific vendors and customers, to include coordination with outside LTL as needed.
• Provide freight quotations for Plants, Customer Service team and others using Kuebix and LTL Select.
• Monitor Transportation scheduling issues and work with carriers to resolve.
• Confer with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed or damaged goods.
• Maintain a Transportation Claims file.
• Aid in gathering and submitting lane data for North American shipments.
• Perform additional job-related duties and complete special projects as assigned.

Skills Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Operations or traffic experience, 2+ years Dispatch experience preferred.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Must have a comprehensive working knowledge of computer aided quotation systems.
• Demonstrated prioritization and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Must have a comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
