Dispatch Supervisor

About the role

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Dispatch Supervisor to manage a team of Dispatchers in a centralized dispatch setting and oversee the overall performance of the Dispatch department. This role involves coordinating the utilization of drivers, trucks, and containers to maximize productivity and ensure prompt, courteous, and efficient service to all customers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Dispatcher performance evaluations, monitor and track employee attendance, complete disciplinary actions, and attend meetings that apply positive leadership principles.
• Review Dispatch reports and route execution, and follow up on driver check-ins.
• Coordinate the utilization of drivers, trucks, and containers to create capacity, maximize productivity, and ensure prompt, courteous, and efficient service to all customers.
• Provide oversight, training, and backup support to Dispatchers.
• Oversee the overall performance of the department.
• Establish and maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned.
• Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation, management, logistics, or the waste industry.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build a team.
• At least 12 months of experience managing a team of no fewer than 4 people.
