Henderson, Kentucky, United States, 6305 Highway 425, 42420 Administrative FullTime Pratt - Corrugated Logistic Oct 14 2026 8136-24911 Description Job Title: Dispatcher Supervisor Division: Logistics Reports To: Logistics Manager Work Hours - 8pm - 4am Pay - $63,000/Year Dispatch as needed will put rates in TMW or rate loads/negotiate rates with 3rd party carriersDirect the daily driver duties managing where they go, the time it takes and when their day is concludedDispatchers will manage DOT compliance related to driver available hours of service when assigning loads and daily task.Dispatchers are required to interact with internal and external customers as needed. As part of interaction and communication includes shift hand off communication between Dispatchers to ensure the business is operating without incidents or issues and Customers are being served. Communication is critical between Dispatchers and Logistics Managers and Regional Managers.Enter POs as needed.Participate and initiate discipline to drivers as per company policyReview driver documents for accuracy and/or complianceInvolvement as needed with selecting external carriers to take loadsDispatchers will be involved with payroll as needed to ensure Drivers are accurately compensated for work performed.Dispatchers will be responsible for managing the fleet in a financially efficient and safe manner considering service and cost.Manage the fleet flow to the lease vendor’s shops for equipment repair and maintenance. Also, coordinate and manage road breakdowns with the vendors.Follow all Safety Policies and ensure Drivers and fellow employees follow all Safety policies and rulesIncident investigation forms – complete fully with as much detail as possible when a safety related issue or event occursRide a longs with Drivers periodically – to ensure the Drivers have want they need and to experience the elements that Drivers experience doing the jobDispatch position is a Supervisory position and duties related to supervising is required Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises all employees assigned to the department including Drivers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; conflict resolution; team building; coaching and leading employees to improve; addressing complaints and resolving problems; documentation; and setting an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance and team work. EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED Two years experience as a Dispatcher Candidates Are PREFERRED Who Offer The Following College and/or related technical experience. Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management One year supervisory experience as a proven manager of at least five people. Four years’ experience in the Shipping and Warehousing environment or CDL Truck Driving Experience Language Skills Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to sit and move around. Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
