Disneyland Power and Facilities Electrical Engineering Intern, Spring 2027
About the Role
Within the Disneyland Resort, the Architecture & Facility Engineering Services (A&FES) Division program is designed to develop you professionally, increase your practical knowledge in your area of technical expertise, and complete valuable work for the Resort. You will assist A&FES Architects and Engineers on projects including Attractions, Maintenance, Foods, Merchandise, and Entertainment. The internship runs approximately January - June 2027 and is a full-time position in Anaheim, CA. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
Responsibilities
- Assist project Engineers (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical) in all phases of project work, including drafting, on-site as-built documentation, and design coordination with outside design consultants.
- Conduct field data collection, light design/production work, and construction administration.
- Support power system engineering/analysis and power distribution systems.
- Assist with commissioning and closeout documentation for projects ranging from minor rehabs to new facility construction.
Requirements
- Demonstrated strong leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with initiative, able to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Availability to work various shifts based on project requirements.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work under deadlines, on short notice, and support extended/off-hours for project or resort engineering issues.
- Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student at an accredited college/university, earning a Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher (no rounding).
- At least 18 years of age with unrestricted work authorization.
- Compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
- Able to maintain a consistent, reliable work schedule (Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week, PST) for the duration of the internship.
- Able to provide own housing and reliable transportation in the Anaheim, CA area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior related work experience, including co-op/intern programs focused on architecture, engineering, energy systems, energy engineering, or construction.
- Experience with AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM (Building Information Modeling), power system engineering/analysis, or power distribution systems.
Pay
The pay rate for this role is $30.00/hour for undergraduate students and $35.00/hour for graduate students in CA.
