Disneyland Facilities Mechanical Engineering Intern, Spring 2027

Within the Disneyland Resort, the Architecture & Facility Engineering Services (A&FES) Division program is designed to develop you professionally, increase your practical knowledge in your area of technical expertise, while completing valuable work for the Resort. The internship runs approximately January - June 2027, and interns must be fully available for the duration in Anaheim, CA.
Responsibilities
- Assist project Engineers – Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical – in all phases of project work, including drafting, on-site as-built documentation, design coordination with outside design consultants, field data collection, light design/production work, construction administration, commissioning, and closeout documentation for projects ranging from minor rehabs to new facilities.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student at an accredited college/university, earning a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher (no rounding).
- Enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- At least 18 years of age with unrestricted work authorization.
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program.
- Compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship (Monday thru Friday, 40 hours each week, PST).
- Able to provide own housing and reliable transportation to/from work in the Anaheim, CA area.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
- Experience working with AutoCAD, REVIT, and/or BIM (Building Information Modeling).
- Demonstrated strong leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with initiative – able to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Availability to work various shifts commensurate with project requirements.
Preferred
- Prior related work experience, including co-op/intern programs with a focus on architecture, engineering, or construction.
- Coursework or prior work experience in Power Plant design (Chilling plants, Boiling plants).
- Coursework or prior work experience in Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) Design.
- Coursework or prior work experience in Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Chiller and Boiler plants, and/or Thermodynamics/Fluid Flow.
Pay
The pay rate for this role as an undergraduate in CA is $30.00/hr. The pay rate for this role as a graduate student in CA is $35.00/hr.
