Disneyland Facilities Management Engineering Intern, Spring 2027
About the Role
Within the Disneyland Resort, the Facilities Shared Services (FSS) Division is part of Facilities & Operations Services (FOS). This internship program is designed to develop you professionally, increase your practical knowledge in your area of technical expertise, and provide field experience in Facilities, Building Operation Systems, Utilities, and Project Management while completing valuable work for the Resort. You will assist and provide key data to FSS Engineers, Engineering Service Managers, and various Trades on a variety of project types supporting Attractions, Maintenance, Foods, Merchandise, and Entertainment.
The approximate dates of this internship are January to June 2027. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship. This internship is located in Anaheim, CA.
Responsibilities
- Locate, capture, and verify facility and utility assets in the field using GNSS/GPS equipment and mobile GIS data collection tools (e.g., Esri Field Maps, Survey123, Collector).
- Conduct field inspections and validate GIS records, drawings, and asset inventories against real-world conditions for Utilities infrastructure.
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of projects as directed by team leaders, including on-site reviews, inspections, and reports of work in progress.
- Produce and compile onboarding documentation for various Trades.
- Produce and compile Support 1 and 2 Training documentation, and provide data analysis and recommendations.
- Role includes both desk and field work, requiring flexibility in start times.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student at an accredited college/university, earning a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geography, with a focus/interest in Utilities or a related major.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher (no rounding).
- Prior related work experience is desired, including co-op/intern programs with a focus on Civil Engineering, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or similar.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with demonstrated initiative—able to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in data or field conditions.
- Availability to work various shifts commensurate with project requirements.
- Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational, and documentation skills.
- Experience in reading blueprints, working in GIS, Maximo, and/or AutoCAD.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Esri’s suite of mobile, desktop, web, and server-based ArcGIS products, such as ArcGIS Pro, Portal for ArcGIS, Experience Builder, and Field Maps.
Eligibility
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application posting, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess unrestricted work authorization.
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program.
- Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship (Monday through Friday, 40 hours each week).
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Anaheim, CA area.
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
Pay
The pay rate for this role as an undergraduate in CA is $30.00/hour. The pay rate for this role as a graduate student in CA is $35.00/hour.
