Responsibilities
- Scrape, rinse, and load dishware, glassware, and silverware into commercial machines; hand‑wash oversized pots, pans, and delicate items.
- Sort and return clean plates, utensils, and equipment to designated kitchen and dining‑room service stations quickly.
- Sweep, mop, and scrub kitchen floors, empty trash and recyclables, and clean dish pits or back‑dock areas.
- Monitor water temperatures, chemical levels, and cleanliness of dish machines, reporting mechanical issues immediately.
- Assist culinary staff with basic kitchen cleaning, deep‑cleaning projects, or prep‑area maintenance when needed.
Requirements
- Physical stamina to stand for long shifts, bend frequently, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to tolerate hot, humid, and loud backstage kitchen settings.
- Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays common at resort properties.
- Adherence to strict health‑department safety, hygiene, and HACCP guidelines.
