What You Will Be Doing

• Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment according to manufacturer and health standards;
• Scrape, rinse, rack, and properly sanitize all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment;
• Keep dish room, kitchen areas, floors, walls, and equipment clean and organized in compliance with health department and resort standards;
• Properly store dishes, utensils, and equipment; restock supplies and assist with inventory management to support efficient kitchen operations;
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper chemical handling and hazard awareness; perform general cleaning and other assigned duties across kitchen areas as needed;
• Empty trash and recycling throughout the kitchen and dish areas;
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly back-of-house spaces, including floors and waste stations.

Position Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 75 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs. in a busy kitchen environment;
• Comfortable working in a high-energy setting with noise, interruptions, and the need to quickly shift between tasks while maintaining focus and efficiency;
• Ability to work in varying conditions, including heat, humidity, wet floors, confined spaces, and elevated noise levels typical of commercial kitchens;
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions while maintaining a calm, professional attitude under pressure;
• No prior experience required; basic English communication skills preferred.
