Dishwasher (Part-time)

About the role

Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center is looking for a dependable team member to assist with meal service, dishwashing, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. This role helps ensure residents and guests receive excellent dining service in a safe and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and put away dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Transport dishes between the dining room, kitchen, and dishwashing area.
• Keep wait staff stocked with dishes, silverware, and serving items.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen following infection control and food safety guidelines.
• Use supplies and equipment safely and according to Fairhaven policies.
• Provide friendly and respectful service to residents and coworkers.
• Protect resident privacy and follow HIPAA requirements.
• Report any concerns involving resident safety, rights, abuse, or neglect.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout a shift.
• Able to read and follow directions.
• Friendly and able to communicate effectively in English with residents and coworkers.
• Comfortable working in a Christian retirement community.

Work Environment

Primarily works in kitchen and dining service areas. Regular exposure to hot water, steam, food service equipment, and cleaning supplies. May encounter typical healthcare-related risks associated with working around elderly residents.

Schedule & Pay

• Starting Pay: $15.00 - $15.75 per hour
• Schedule: Weekdays, evenings, and weekends
