Wake Robin, Vermont’s premier continuing care retirement community, seeks a part-time Dishwasher/Kitchen Assistant for its culinary team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a vibrant, farm-to-plate environment with a focus on resident care.
Responsibilities
- Dishwashing and basic food prep tasks
- Linen preparation and food storage
- General kitchen cleaning as assigned
- Attention to food quality and consistency
- Participation in innovative protein butchering and smoking
Requirements
- Experience with various kitchen tasks
- Ability to work from scratch, not from pre-packaged items
- Over 40% of produce sourced locally and organically
- Knowledge of sustainable farming practices
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
Skills
- Basic food handling and sanitation knowledge
- Ability to follow recipes and cooking instructions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
