Dishwasher @ KingSide Diner

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service with a smile to customers and team members at all times.
• Expand upon basic requirements to provide a memorable experience.
• Exceed First Class Service standards and behavior with every guest, business partner, and peers.
• Maintain a professional company image by adhering to all grooming and uniform guidelines, including slip resistant shoes.
• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
• Load and unload dishwashing machines.
• Wash items in 3 compartment sinks, when dishwasher is unavailable.
• Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately, following Food Safety and Sanitation Guidelines.
• Set up workstations before meal prep begins.
• Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, utensils, and equipment, especially during peak hours.
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents).
• Check dishwashing machines’ operation and report any technical/performance issues to management.
• Remove garbage regularly.
• Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor.
• Go above and beyond for guests and other team members.
• Enthusiastically support decisions once they have been made by management.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment that is free of safety hazards, including sweeping and mopping.
• Accountable for compliance with all local, state, federal laws, and regulations including those relating to food safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must smile often!
• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Food and Beverage experience is preferred but not required.
• ServSafe Certification, or equivalent, preferred.
• Able to take direction and collaborate in a team environment.
• Able to work in a high energy and demanding environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members.
• Able to work unsupervised for extensive periods, and to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with others.
