Responsibilities

• Operate the dishwasher and ensure proper sanitation of kitchenware, including dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and trays.
• Hand wash kitchen items not suitable for the dishwasher.
• Store items in their proper locations and maintain a tidy, organized kitchen.
• Notify the manager if the dish machine malfunctions or requires maintenance.
• Clean equipment, appliances, storage areas, and sinks according to schedule.
• Support kitchen staff with basic prep, restocking, or delivering clean items as needed.
• Provide customer service to residents to ensure high satisfaction.
• Bus tables during and after meals, and clear tables when residents are finished.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe kitchen environment as required by local and state health departments.
• Perform routine preventative cleaning on the dish machine according to schedule.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be age 16 or older.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
• Follow state food-handling and kitchen regulations.
• Ability to operate basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn.
• Capable of working 3–3.75 hours per shift standing, walking, and moving without needing to sit.

Preferred Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and help others.
• Enjoyment in working with older adults.
• Some experience in food cleanup or preparation.
