Departmental Objective

Purpose of the Position
This position will ensure the serving area is supplied with clean, sanitized china and serviceware. This position also ensures that the dish room is operated in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards. This position will be required to work flexible schedule, including nights (until 10pm), weekends, and some holidays.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Supervisory skills
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to communicate in writing or verbally to both supervisors and subordinates
- Good organizational skills, ability to complete multiple tasks concurrently
- Ability to work in congested work areas and areas where wet processes are used
- Ability to wear protective footwear (position will be exposed to slippery footing)
- Candidate must be able to work Sunday – Thursday 12p – 9:30p
Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent education/experience that equates to a high school diploma
- Experience: Experience as a dishwasher
- Supervisory experience
Additional Considerations
- Education: ServSafe certified or equivalent food handler program
- Experience: Experience in a high-volume kitchen in an educational or institutional setting
Salary Information
Salary $32,672 to $40,846 commensurate with education and experience

- This is a classified position. New and returning classified employees are required to complete a 12-month probationary period.
- Selected candidate must attend a 2-day New Employee Orientation Program.
