As a Garage Door Designer at Precision Garage Door Service, you'll receive training to quickly start with your own company vehicle and client flow. We provide all the tools necessary to grow your career as far as you want. You'll be at the forefront helping customers by repairing, replacing, and installing garage doors, ensuring they understand the service options available.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and Repair: Repair garage doors, operators, replace worn or broken parts, install new equipment including doors, and replace springs.
- Educate the Customer: Explain repair options and preventive measures in detail, and review completed work with customers.
- Sell Services and Equipment: Use our proven model to sell services to customers using a good/better/best approach, and collect payments.
- Manage Inventory: Ensure you have the right equipment, tools, and products in your vehicle to complete jobs correctly.

Requirements
- Basic Requirements:
- Mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
- Ability to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for long periods.
- Ability to work in heat and cold, both outdoors and in garages without temperature control.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with customers and solve problems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability and ability to follow our customer service process.
- Knowledge:
- Experience in the garage door industry is preferred but not required; we provide training.
- Ability to use a computer and/or tablet.
- Comfort with technology and using hand tools and mechanical equipment.
Pay and Benefits
We offer competitive salaries that match or exceed any trade. During your 90-day training period, you'll receive a base hourly pay. After training, you'll earn commissions on completed work. Most designers earn between $60,000 and $100,000 per year.
