Overview

Help make a difference! Join the Disability Determination Services (DDS) team and help process Social Security and Medicaid disability benefits. We seek an organized, detail-oriented individual with strong communication and critical thinking skills to assist with support and technical case processing activities. There is a potential for hybrid telework after training. We understand how challenging learning a new position can be and offer extensive support as you learn. You'll receive comprehensive training and ongoing support from experienced trainers, mentors, and management in a collaborative, flexible work environment focused on work-life balance as you learn the job and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the DDS team
  • Assist with support and technical case processing activities
  • Participate in comprehensive training and ongoing support
  • Work in a hybrid office/telework setting
  • Adapt to frequent changes and work accurately and quickly

Requirements

  • One (1) year of experience providing administrative support to a business or organization
  • Associate's degree or higher in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or closely related field

Qualifications

  • Pass applicable State background checks in accordance with AHS Policy 4.02, Hiring Standards, State of Vermont tax compliance and criminal record checks, and Federal requirements for all DDS employees, including fingerprinting for FBI clearance and a Federal Public Trust background investigation.
