Director, Video Investments

About the role

This leadership role will oversee video investment strategy and execution across Linear TV, CTV, and Digital Video channels. The position will guide media buying decisions, strengthen partner relationships, and ensure campaigns are delivered with precision against client goals and budget expectations. In close partnership with media, finance, and account teams, this leader will help translate data and market trends into actionable recommendations and performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and implement video buys aligned with media plan goals
• Prepare and deliver client buy presentations
• Support agency negotiations during Upfront and Scatter events
• Monitor video marketplace trends and provide campaign planning recommendations
• Train associate team members and ensure flawless campaign execution
• Collaborate with the media team to assess campaign performance against KPIs
• Cultivate relationships with media partners
• Communicate campaign statuses and highlight new opportunities to agency teams
• Contribute to industry POVs and thought leadership initiatives
• Collaborate with finance to resolve billing issues
• Adhere to client budgets while achieving objectives
• Analyze campaign data for trends and optimization opportunities

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in media planning and buying, including 5 years in video investment across Linear TV, CTV, and Digital Video
• Strong track record in managing and developing media teams
• Exceptional negotiation skills for building partnerships
• Analytical with proven ability to interpret data and generate insights
• Proficient with media research and buying tools such as Nielsen and Mediaocean
• Experience working in an integrated agency environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Pay

$120,000 – $180,000 annually
