About the role

This position supports corporate initiatives related to the U.S. Army Fires portfolio within Lockheed Martin Corporate Government Affairs in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Supports various corporate initiatives related to the U.S. Army Fires domain.
  • Leadership and oversight of senior level managers across the entire spectrum of Army programs.
  • Primary interface among Lockheed Martin and U.S. Army personnel for all Fires areas of interest.
  • Manages business Capture/Keep Sold activities for Lockheed Martin Corporation programs for Army and Department of Defense customers in the Fires domains.
  • Develops customer engagement plans and strategies for current and new business opportunities.
  • Collaborates with counterparts at appropriate levels both external to and internal to Lockheed Martin.
  • Aids Lockheed Martin Business areas as required with customer perspectives and assessments.
  • Serves on capture/color teams and in strategy sessions as necessary to maximize the win prospects for competed programs.
  • Explores new markets for research and development ventures to assist in expanding company product line growth.
  • Recommends customer interface opportunities, messaging, and frequency of visits; ensures customer access during the shaping and capture phase as well as keep sold.
  • Helps develop Competitor Intelligence in the community.
  • Coordinates programs across lines of business and government agencies and participates in strategy developments and review sessions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of Army Fires experience and at least 2+ years recent experience on the Headquarters Department of the Army Staff.
  • Extensive knowledge of Army Fires requirements.
  • Familiarity with DoD and Army budget and acquisition policies and processes.
  • Experience in Army G3 and G8 staff responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret Clearance.

  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to address complex matters/solutions with senior leadership.
  • Able to work with limited guidance and deal with ambiguity.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Benefits

  • Full-Time Salary Range: $195000.00 - $350000.00
  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position.
