About The Role
We're looking for a strategic, commercially-minded leader to lead our Tiktok Shop team in the US as the Director of Tiktok Shop. This role will set the strategic vision and execution for key LG brands, lead and develop a team of Tiktok Shop managers, and serve as the senior leader accountable for channel P&L, topline revenue, GMV growth, and partner health across a portfolio of enterprise brands. This is a leadership role for someone who can operate at both altitude and depth, equally comfortable presenting channel strategy to executive stakeholders and rolling up their sleeves to unblock a key partner escalation.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end Tiktok Shop strategy, including market sizing, competitive positioning, assortment strategy, and multi-quarter revenue forecasting
- Lead and mentor a team of Tiktok Shop Managers; manage team performance to set performance goals
- Drive topline revenue and GMV growth by directing the team and agencies on creator acquisition, incubation, and scaling of affiliate partnerships across the category
- Build and pitch innovative opportunities to drive sales growth (exclusivity, bundled merchandising, creator/affiliate integration)
- Partner cross-functionally to solve growth blockers and influence platform roadmap based on channel needs
- Represent the category in executive business reviews, forecasting, and planning cycles; own reporting on channel KPIs (GMV, take rate, retention, AOV, conversion) to senior leadership
- Act as the senior escalation point and strategic advisor for internal business partners, providing consultative guidance across content strategy, merchandising, creator/affiliate/agency partnerships, and logistics
- Identify and scope new business opportunities, partnership structures, and category expansion plays ahead of market trends
- Champion change management as TikTok Shop's product, policy, and monetization models evolve, ensuring the category and its partners remain ahead of platform shifts
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in e-commerce, retail, or marketplace commercial roles, including 3+ years in Tiktok Shop specifically
- Consistent track record of growing Tiktok Shops from cold start to L5+, beauty and personal category experience preferred
- Demonstrated track record of owning and exceeding significant revenue, GMV, or P&L targets (ideally $20M+ scope or equivalent)
- Experience building and scaling affiliate partnerships, including managing complex affiliate loyalty programs
- Experience managing and developing a team in a fast-paced environment through active coaching
- Strong analytical fluency comfortable building business cases, forecasting models, and translating data into category strategy
- Excellent executive presence; able to influence senior internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead through ambiguity in a fast-moving, evolving business environment. Self-starter with can-do attitude and growth mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading a Brand-led category such as Food & Beverage, Beauty & Personal Care, or CPG
- Deep familiarity with TikTok or other content/social platforms; experience in content- or creator-led e-commerce strongly preferred
- Established relationships with major brands, distributors, or agencies in the relevant category
- Prior experience in a high-growth marketplace or platform business (e.g., Amazon, Shopify, Instacart, Walmart Connect)
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product/Eng teams to shape platform features based on commercial needs
