About the role
Our TPM Directors are responsible for managing technical programs, ensuring technical risks are identified and mitigated, and leading a team of TPMs to build the foundations for the TPM practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage technical programs and ensure technical risks are identified and mitigated
- Lead a team of TPMs to build the foundations for the TPM practice
- Drive resilience or reliability engineering initiatives, including chaos engineering, failure mode analysis, or run-the-engine reduction programs
- Build systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment
- Collaborate with large cross-functional teams to secure commitments on deliverables and unblock teams to land business impact
- Design and build data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
- Build distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services or architecture
- Drive large and complex programs, owning the business or technical vision
- Implement Agile delivery practices
- Work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 7 years of experience managing technical programs
- Preferred qualifications include:
- 5+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
- 3+ years of experience in building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services or architecture
- 3+ years of experience with site reliability engineering, observability, incident response, or disaster recovery programs at scale
- 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery
- 3+ years of experience delivering large and complex programs
- Experience in building systems & solutions within a highly regulated environment
- MBA or Master’s Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering)

Pay
Salaries for Director, Technical Program Management vary by location, ranging from $209,500 - $239,100 in Plano, TX to $286,900 in New York, NY. Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
