Director, Tech-Ops Supply Chain

About the Role

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for directing, planning, organizing, controlling, and overseeing personnel and the daily activities of the centralized system-wide Supply Chain Procurement department. This role ensures the department operates efficiently and meets the needs of all entities within Global Crossing Airlines. The Director oversees all procurement activities for supplies, equipment, and services.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Five years of aviation supply chain procurement, sourcing, and/or leadership experience. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCP) or project management (e.g., PMP).
• Experience with advanced supply chain technologies and data analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Create procurement strategies, including process and execution system-wide.
• Develop and implement standards consistent with administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the business unit and organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met.
• Lead workgroups, create work plans, deliverables, desired outcomes, and savings estimates with targeted timelines.
• Provide strategic thinking and direction to establish a leading practice supply chain procurement model.
• Provide tactical abilities to implement leading supply chain practices.
• Monitor and evaluate Supply Chain Procurement compliance and performance; establish best practices for special purchases.
• Maximize use of Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) where appropriate.
• Focus on standardization and simplification to achieve operational and cost efficiencies without compromising standards of care.
• Oversee Supply Chain Audits.
• Establish and implement policies and procedures ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and other regulatory agencies (e.g., Joint Commission).
• Integrate department services and primary functions by supporting organizational mission, priorities, and goals.
• Oversee the resolution of supply chain shortages and collaborate with Value Analysis, Strategic Sourcing, and stakeholders to establish potential substitutions.
• Maintain reports of shortages and causes to be distributed within the organization.
• Create, monitor KPIs/stats for areas of responsibility and staff productivity.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures; responsible for departmental external and internal audits.
• Lead all construction projects and equipment procurement related to Supply Chain needs system-wide.
• Maintain a committee within Supply Chain to support this effort; establish and maintain project lists, budgets, and timelines.
• Collaborate with Finance on Capital Budgets for system-wide purchases and budgets.
• Accountable for all system-wide sourcing and procurement of equipment; maintain and establish standardization to maximize contracts and limit variability.
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships internal and external to the organization.
• Foster effective communication with system-wide leadership, medical staff, clinical, and non-clinical areas to promote collaboration and partnership.
• Engender trust and accountability with colleagues and staff.
• Establish and maintain professional and ethical vendor relationships; create value through partnerships and collaboration.
• Manage the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) relationship and activities.
• Accountable for the Procure-to-Pay process within the system-wide Supply Chain to make it efficient and effective.
• Oversee Supply Chain invoice resolution within established guidelines.
• Collaborate with Value Analysis Program, Sourcing, Inventory, and Logistics; participate in assigned Value Analysis Program teams as a member and/or lead.
• Hire and manage the performance of personnel to meet the needs of the assigned business unit.
• Create a results-driven, ethical, and customer service-oriented team; provide coaching and mentoring to staff.
• Establish and maintain a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
• Direct system-wide disaster preparedness and Supply Chain emergency activities.
• Responsible for cost savings targets in accordance with departmental and individual goals; collaborate with Finance on special projects and expense management.
• Prepare, monitor, and evaluate Supply Chain department budgets to ensure compliance with allocated funding.
