Director, Strategy & Operations

About the role

We are looking to add an exceptional and experienced leader to join our Strategy & Operations team as a Director. Reporting directly to the COO, this individual will be a driving force behind the company's most impactful initiatives. In this role, you will partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to tackle complex business challenges, develop and execute strategic plans, and oversee high-priority projects that enable scalable growth.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Lead High-Impact Initiatives: As a critical member of the Strategy & Operations team, you will own the development, execution, and success of company-wide strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Partner with Leadership: Collaborate closely with ShopMy's senior leadership to address key business challenges, provide data-driven insights, and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Develop and optimize processes to enhance business operations, streamline workflows, and support scalable growth.
• Strategic Problem-Solving: Identify areas of opportunity through in-depth analysis, validate hypotheses, and propose forward-thinking solutions to drive results.
• Project Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of mission-critical projects, from initial concept and planning to implementation and performance evaluation.
• Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across the organization, ensuring seamless communication, alignment, and execution of strategic initiatives.
• Mentor and Influence: Serve as a mentor to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Our Non-Negligibles

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 8-10+ years of professional experience, including management consulting, finance, or strategy & operations roles at a high-growth startup or SaaS company.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and executing complex, cross-functional projects with measurable impact.
• Outstanding analytical skills and a data-driven approach, with expertise in translating insights into actionable strategies.
• Exceptional communication and influence abilities, with experience presenting to C-suite executives and senior stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment.
• Hands-on mindset: you’re willing to dive into the details and roll up your sleeves to get things done.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite; knowledge of SQL or other data analysis tools is a plus.

Pay

In compliance with New York Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this position is as shown. We note that salary information as a general guideline only, actual compensation may vary from posting based on the offer for this role, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work experience, key skills, education, training and business considerations. New York Pay Range $200,000 - $230,000 USD. The provided salary range is base salary, exclusive of bonus potential or commission and is a good faith estimate of cash compensation.
