Director, Strategic Planning – SVP role focused on developing strategic visions for brands, driving organic growth, and delivering exceptional results. You will lead brand planning, client management, and cross-functional collaboration to spearhead innovation and agency growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning for existing and new business opportunities, guiding cross-functional teams to success.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies addressing disease state, indications, customer needs, and science.
  • Provide expert consulting on market research, insight mining, and ideation to inform creative and strategic opportunities.
  • Facilitate large-scale client workshops and brainstorming sessions to drive collaboration and strategic recommendations.
  • Oversee and mentor team members, fostering career development and growth.
  • Manage full-life-cycle talent management, including hiring, staffing, feedback, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical marketing guidance and agency processes.
  • Participate in agency-wide initiatives and task forces to promote interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Demonstrate empathetic leadership, professionalism, and effective communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • 10+ years of brand strategy or market research experience in an agency setting (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, research tools (e.g., SERMO, Datamonitor), and social media platforms.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of agency offerings, pharma marketing, and industry trends.
  • Expertise in brand strategy, promotional strategy, and AI platform utilization.
  • Effective presentation skills and executive presence.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to influence and drive results.

Pay

$190,000 – $270,000

Schedule

Minimum of three days per week in-office, with potential for additional in-office days as directed by the agency or manager.
