About the role

The Director of Strategic Accounts and Business Development at Telligen is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic business relationships with national and regional stakeholders while driving new business development initiatives. This role combines account management of existing key clients with identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to achieve Telligen growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes sales strategies to achieve growth targets
  • Generates leads and maintains sales pipeline in SalesForce
  • Prepares and leads client presentations
  • Led proposal development process and contract negotiations
  • Establishes pricing strategies aligned with market conditions
  • Identifies and develops opportunities for account expansion
  • Recommends new product/service offerings based on market needs
  • Participates in strategic planning initiatives
  • Collaborates on continuous improvement efforts
  • Develops and maintains favorable relationships with large, key accounts through regular face-to-face and virtual contact
  • Serves as main conduit between Telligen and clients for contract deliverables, expansions, and renewals
  • Maintains presence in relevant industry associations and coalitions
  • Coordinates with operations to ensure consistent service delivery
  • Manages client reporting and performance metrics
  • Coordinates with operations to ensure consistent service delivery

  • Manages solution development and problem resolution
  • Provides client education and training as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, marketing or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in healthcare or related industry
  • Proven track record of 5-7 years managing large, complex customer relationships
  • Demonstrated success in health management solution sales
  • Strong understanding of healthcare marketplace and client needs
  • Excellence in relationship building and strategic account management
  • Superior presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to lead and manage direct reports

Preferred Qualifications

  • Travel up to 40%
  • Strong interpersonal skills emphasizing flexibility and diplomacy
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation abilities
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, particularly SalesForce
