Job Summary
The University of Mississippi Medical Center seeks a Director of Simulation and Interprofessional Education Core. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative simulation and interprofessional education programs
- Collaborate with faculty, clinicians, and other stakeholders to enhance educational outcomes
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to support educational initiatives
- Evaluate and adapt new simulation technologies to improve training effectiveness
- Provide constructive feedback to trainees in high-intensity environments
- Lead and evaluate interprofessional healthcare delivery teams
- Adhere to health sciences accreditation processes
Requirements
- Terminal degree (MD, PhD in Health Sciences, Medicine, or BioMedical Education)
- Four years of experience as a director of graduate-level health science education
- Excellent leadership skills
- Budget management experience
- Maintain literacy and understanding of medical procedures
- Able to explore and adapt new simulation technologies
- Good writing skills
- Able to collaborate well with clinicians and basic scientists
- Experience in clinical education
- Experience working in, leading, and evaluating interprofessional healthcare delivery teams
