About the role
This role will shape brand and customer engagement initiatives that strengthen market presence and business impact. You will collaborate with analytics, product, creative, and commercial teams to turn market insights into scalable campaigns, testing strategies, and performance improvements. The position offers the opportunity to directly influence customer engagement, conversion performance, and revenue growth within a healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement pre-launch access strategies for Medicaid FFS and Managed Medicaid
- Act as the main relationship owner for state Medicaid pharmacy and medical directors in key states
- Understand state-level policies and drug review processes impacting access to therapy
- Design multi-year state Medicaid access plans, adapting to policy and market changes
- Engage with Medicaid directors to secure informal billing guidance and favorable coverage letters
- Monitor Medicaid policy changes and their implications for brand access strategies
- Collaborate across functions to ensure strategic goals are met and communicated effectively
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, MPH) preferred
- 15+ years in pharma/biotech, with at least 8 years in government or Medicaid payer account management
- Proven track record of securing positive formulary and coverage outcomes for high-cost rare or specialty products
- Experience in pre-launch government payer strategy, specifically for new products
- In-depth knowledge of navigating the miscellaneous J code environment, including payer education and billing guidance
- Experience in launching products related to rare pediatric or neurological diseases, with a focus on CNS or epilepsy
- Familiarity with 340B program compliance and Medicaid disability transition pathways
Pay
$238,000 – $322,000 annually
