About the role

Provide comprehensive legal counsel on securitization transactions, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents.

Advises on compliance with relevant laws and regulations in the financial services industry.

Collaborates with internal stakeholders, including business, risk, and compliance teams, to align legal strategies with business objectives.

Oversees and manages external counsel to ensure timely and efficient legal support.

Supports the structuring, execution, and closing of complex financial transactions.

Stays updated on changes in securitization laws and regulations and communicates potential impacts to the organization.

Mitigates legal risks by providing proactive and practical legal solutions.

Ensures all legal documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and compliant with internal and external standards.

Responsibilities

Requirements

A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and a license to practice law in the United States.

Strong expertise in securitizations, structured finance, and capital markets transactions.

Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.

In-depth knowledge of financial services industry regulations, including securities laws.

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

A proactive approach to identifying and addressing legal risks.

Qualifications

Experience in legal roles within the financial services industry.

Experience in securitization, structured finance, and capital markets transactions.

Experience in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.

Experience in understanding and applying financial services industry regulations, including securities laws.

Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Experience in identifying and addressing legal risks proactively.
