About the role
The Director, Senior Counsel - CLOs & Securitization is responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to senior executives and other stakeholders within the organization. This role involves managing complex legal issues related to corporate lending officers and securitization transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and counsel to senior executives and other key stakeholders on corporate lending officers and securitization matters.
- Manage and resolve complex legal issues related to corporate lending officers and securitization transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance legal risk management and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory developments affecting corporate lending officers and securitization practices.
Requirements
- JD/JD equivalent degree with a focus on corporate law and/or securities regulation.
- At least 10 years of experience in corporate law, with a significant portion dedicated to advising on corporate lending officers and securitization matters.
- Proven track record of successfully resolving complex legal issues and advising on high-stakes transactions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate through intricate legal frameworks and interpret complex regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate legal concepts to non-legal professionals and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Qualifications
- Admitted to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on client service and business development.
- Knowledge of financial markets and the ability to understand and analyze financial instruments and transactions.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts and other legal documents related to corporate lending officers and securitization.
