Director, Senior Counsel - Securitizations

About the role

Provide legal support to structured finance, capital markets, and investment banking businesses across a broad range of securitization and financing transactions.

Responsibilities

• Support securitization transactions across a variety of asset classes, including asset-backed securities (esoteric ABS), CLOs, residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), and other structured credit products.
• Advise on CLO transactions, including warehouse facilities, new issuances, refinancings, resets, amendments, and ongoing deal management matters.
• Support a growing Structured Finance group, partnering with senior business leaders daily.

Requirements

• JD from a top US Law School
• Admitted to the NY State Bar
• 10+ years of experience handling structured products, securitizations, CLOs, CMBS/RMBS and asset-backed securities, including esoteric ABS

Qualifications

• In-house experience advising senior business leaders on ABS transactions
• Strong and in-depth experience with esoteric asset-backed securitizations
• Ability to work autonomously

Skills

• JD, TX State Bar
• 10+ years of experience at a top law firm combined with in-house banking experience handling esoteric ABS, CLOs, CMBS/RMBS matters
