Role Summary

The Director of Sales – Aftermarket Americas (OES) is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing sales strategies for assigned global OEM customers across North America. This role ensures the achievement of short and long-term sales objectives, drives profitable growth, and leads a high-performing team of Key Account Managers in close collaboration with the Sr. Vice President, Automotive Aftermarket Americas.

Main Tasks

  • Develop and implement North American sales strategies for defined global customers to achieve M+H short‑ and long‑term sales objectives for Automotive Aftermarket OES.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with customer, market, and product strategies.

  • Ensure full alignment with global sales strategy, implementing regional adaptations where required.

  • Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with assigned OEM customers.

  • Lead pricing strategy development and execution in collaboration with the Sr. VP Automotive Aftermarket Americas.

  • Negotiate long‑term commercial agreements and contracts, ensuring alignment with financial, operational, and strategic goals.

  • Cook up and oversee all customer activities across the North American region.

  • Own and monitor US and Mexico sales performance for the assigned customer groups.

  • Review key performance indicators regularly and implement corrective measures where targets are at risk.

  • Plan, manage, and control the cost and sales budget within the area of responsibility.

  • Initiate and steer corrective actions to address deviations from planned objectives.

  • Monitor market, customer, and industry trends to ensure competitiveness and proactive strategy adjustment.

  • Analyze competitor activities, pricing, and positioning.

  • Forecast customer and market developments to support forward‑looking planning and resource allocation.

  • Lead, coach, motivate, and develop direct and indirect reports in accordance with HR policies.

  • Ensure the sales organization is properly structured, staffed, and directed to meet current and future business needs.

  • Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the sales organization.

  • Lead strategic and operational sales planning processes.

  • Ensure disciplined execution of strategies and adherence to corporate governance requirements.

  • Experience leveraging data analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to drive decision-making

  • Experience leading digital transformation or process digitalization initiatives

  • Understanding of aftermarket digital trends (e.g., e-commerce, predictive maintenance, connected products/IoT)

  • Proven ability to translate business needs into automation and scalable digital solutions

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or related field of education

Experience

10+ years of relevant experience in sales, business development with Automotive OEM customers. 5+ years of related managerial experience
