About the Role

The Director of Global Solutions Group Revenue Accounting is a key member of Intuit’s finance team responsible for the end-to-end revenue lifecycle for the small and mid-market business segment. This leader oversees all aspects of revenue accounting, revenue operations, and credit & collections across Intuit’s Global Solutions Group business segment, ensuring integrity, accuracy, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and ASC 606. The role drives operational excellence and automation, leads a high-performing team, and partners cross-functionally to deliver strategic goals while mitigating financial risk across billions in transaction volume. This Director will develop a strategy to support business transformation in a complex, high-growth mid-market environment.

Responsibilities

  • Revenue Accounting:
    • Lead the Global Business Group revenue accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
    • Provide technical subject matter expertise for revenue recognition, including ASC 606, ASC 310, and ASC 860.
    • Own month-end and quarter-end close processes related to revenue recognition.
    • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations for a large accelerated filer.
    • Assess accounting implications for new product offerings, partnerships, and go-to-market strategies.
    • Maintain a robust internal controls environment and ensure SOX compliance.
    • Collaborate with Accounting, Tax, and Finance leaders to facilitate high-quality decision-making.
    • Partner with Product, Sales, and Legal teams on new product launches, pricing strategies, and deal structures to balance financial integrity with revenue growth and customer experience.
  • Revenue Operations:
    • Design and optimize end-to-end revenue operations from contract creation to cash collection, including processes for enterprise contracts.
    • Develop and execute automation strategies, partnering with technology and product leaders to influence roadmaps.
    • Implement scalable systems and automation tools for billing, invoicing, and revenue reporting.
    • Drive transformation of legacy finance operations using modern technologies like AI and GenAI.
    • Lead end-to-end system design for new business initiatives with sound financial principles and automation.
    • Oversee data quality and integrity across teams to support revenue automation and reporting.
    • Develop and implement key performance metrics for revenue operations effectiveness.
  • Credit & Collections:
    • Oversee global credit and collections operations to ensure efficient cash management and strong customer relationships.
    • Implement new processes to support enterprise contract lines of business.
    • Develop credit policies and risk management frameworks aligned with business growth objectives.
    • Monitor Days Sales Outstanding, aging, and collection performance; drive continuous improvement through analytics.
    • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to resolve disputes and improve billing and collection processes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is an accomplished finance and business leader with a track record of running successful revenue teams. This role requires deep domain expertise in technical revenue accounting and revenue operations, combined with business acumen, customer empathy, and a controls governance mindset. The Director must demonstrate a collaborative approach to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive outcomes.

Key Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 12+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting or controllership, including at least 10 years in a leadership role.
    • Manager or Senior Manager in Public Accounting.
    • Proven track record leading revenue accounting and operations in a public, global enterprise software or SaaS company.
    • Deep understanding of technical revenue guidance, ASC 606.
    • Experience managing credit and collections teams.
  • Systems Expertise: Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP), billing platforms, revenue recognition engines (e.g., Revstream, RevPro), and advanced Excel/data analytics tools. Experience working with Tech teams on billing/monetization projects.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of building, leading, and inspiring high-performing teams. Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners and drive complex change initiatives.
  • Communication: Excellent executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex accounting concepts to non-finance audiences.

Pay

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay-for-performance approach, including a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits. Pay is based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. Intuit conducts regular pay comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender to ensure fairness.

Expected Base Pay Range:

  • San Diego: $229,500 - $310,500
  • Mountain View, CA: $256,000 - $346,500
