Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of revenue accounting, including month-end close, analysis and reporting, controls considerations and technical accounting under ASC 606.
- Oversee contract review for revenue recognition implications.
- Lead and mentor a team of two revenue accountants, providing coaching and professional development.
- Partner with Strategic Finance, Legal, Commercial, and Operations to support accurate forecasting, reporting, and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and controls to support scale and operational excellence.
- Support external audits and reviews.
- Assist the Accounting team as needed with ad hoc tasks and projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- CPA with strong technical knowledge of ASC 606.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in public accounting and industry, with at least 3+ years focused on revenue accounting.
- Experience in a fast-paced, public company environment.
- 3+ years in a leadership role managing teams and developing talent.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable processes and controls.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally.
- Comfortable working in a fully remote setting.

Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. For this role, the compensation range is $175,088-$200,100.

As a remote-first company, our team is spread across various locations with office hubs in Denver and San Francisco.
Pay
Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. For this role, the compensation range is $175,088-$200,100.
