Primary Responsibilities
- Comprehension and fluency with requirements for the project, including plans, technical specifications, and the contract(s).
- Understanding of the micro and macro project objectives.
- Review and approval of the Contractor's Quality Management Program.
- Develop, Implement, and monitor the Quality Verification program to ensure compliance with the FRA, DOTs, and Third-Parties requirements.
- Determine and examine the truth or accuracy of the Contractor’s Quality Validation processes.
- Plan and conduct the audits of quality processes, procedures, and activities.
- Assure the Contractor's enforcement of sub-tier quality control programs for subcontractors, fabricators, and material suppliers.
- Interpretation of specifications.
Required And Preferred Experience
- BS Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, or Engineering Technology, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Broad knowledge of standards in the construction industry, including civil, rail, and building construction.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in quality management in the construction industry.
- Minimum 5 years of major design-build construction management experience.
- Must be a Registered Professional Civil Engineer in the State of California.
- Prior experience in owner-side quality management on design-build projects.
- Prior large-scale civil engineering experience, preferably including rail systems.
- Demonstrated prior experience writing and administering quality control and validation programs.
- Demonstrated ability to work within project team and to achieve project objectives.
